Sunday - 30 October 2022 - This day was to be a day of taking pictures and having pictures taken. We were met by Ahajam Soufian, a professional photographer specializing in portrait photography. He grew up and lived in Chefchaouen and took us to all his favorite places. Cal could take pictures and at the same time Ahajam took portraits of us.

morocco2022 — In a tiny plaza is this giant olive tree - reportedly over 200 years old. The tree trunk is massive.

morocco2022 — We were allowed to move through the outer curtain into a corridor to a door - this is the view from the door.

morocco2022 — A visit to the Casbah - or fort. This fort was used to protect the city and of citizen's valuables.

morocco2022 — Moorish windows - note the electrical line snaking on the outside of the home. The walls are so thick many of the wires run along the outside of the homes.

morocco2022 — We had climbed to the top of the city for a view during sunset - and ran into a small heard of sheep heading for home.
