Our hotel was on a ridge overlooking a reservoir which was beautiful - especially at sunrise.
However, the government elections were coming up, so the local farmers were given permission
to pump more water for irrigation - on the day we arrived. We were assured that the pumps would
be turned
off by nightfall - they were not and went constantly for the entire time we were there.
You can see the exhaust from the pumps rising over the lake
There are many sights on the roads - cars going the wrong way, all kinds of animals, people...
but
a herd of cows? Right down the divided highway blocking traffic.
The herdsman is simply walking like the pied piper with his herd simply following along.
Horns everywhere - another of the herdsman in the middle of the herd
Well decorated cow
We arrived at our hotel in Dasada. In an outdoor room had an interesting wall of glass
The hotel property was very pretty - many flowering plants. .
Also several ponds with waterlily and fish
At the hotel a Mir tribe sold crafts and were willing to pose for the tour group. They wore
quite a bit of jewelery - even the young girls.
Of course the older women were even more adorned
