Palace Doors in Fez, Morocco

Virginia Ann and Cal in front of the great doors. These ornate gates were constructed in 1971. The gates are considered an excellent piece of modern Moroccan craftsmanship and are lavishly decorated with elaborate mosaic tile, carved cedar wood, and doors of gilt bronze covered in geometric patterns.
