The tour was 42 people strong. While there were several couples and small family groups including a larger hiking
group from San Francisco. The group bonded quickly and we became fast friends. Most of the credit must be given
to the tour guide, Tony Valdez. Here is the group photo actually taken on the last day.
Dad, Mary
(behind him) and Virginia Ann on the right front and Mom and Cal on the back row.
Tony Valdez was a good guide - very good. Here he is explaining a mural about El Fuerte.
Tony is passionate about the history and culture of the Mexicans. He was not an employee of Caravan
but, as is the process, assigned from the Ministry of Tourism to our specific trip.
Mexico is a beautiful country. This trip was one of several into Mexico as a family.
Not much to photograph on the bus ride from El Paso to Creel. Basically 8-9 hours on a bus rolling through the
Mexican countryside in the state of Chihuahua.
We took a break in the city of Chihuahua for lunch and
then stopped in La Junta for "good clean restrooms" under the cerveza sign.
Portrait of the Holman Family - in Creel - it is a bit chilly

Once we got to Creel the Margaritas were free!!!!!!
Cal, Virginia Ann, and Mary begin to party.
Cal and Virginia Ann enjoy the evening. We are out of Blackberry signal for the first time in a year.
