Most of this day was spent traveling from Dublin to West Sussex. First a plane trip on the worst airline we have
ever had the displeasure of riding - Ryan Air. They have pretty strict weight requirements and of course we (our
bags!) are over weight. Also, Cal was carrying all of his photography gear and both of us had laptops. Then we
rented a car in England - left side driving. We had loaded the Garmin with England for GPS help but it was not
syncing to the satellites so Virginia Ann was pressed into service - and did a great job guiding us to the hotel.
This is the South Lodge Inn - a beautiful old lodge in the middle of a green landscape. If you really
study you can see Virginia Ann sitting on the patio enjoying a beer. Well she is pretty small way over on the
right edge of the picture.
Much closer to Virginia Ann and the beer. A great lodge - wonderful service - and a beautiful setting.
The view into the forest from the patio of the South Lodge Inn.
Soon after this we jumped into the
car and drove into Horsham for dinner. We walked along a street closed to cars for a restaurant. There were
several and after a long day of travel we settled for a casual Italian place - Pizza Express Restaurants.
One of the chandeliers inside the South Lodge Inn dining room. We had a few meals in the Lodge which were very
good.
