Our last day in Hawaii was spent relaxing and walking the Waikiki Beach area. We started with a late breakfast, then walked toward the Hilton Hawaiian Village for shopping opportunities.

This statue was in the courtyard of a restaurant.

We saw many Banyan trees during our visit - this tree has several roots growing toward earth - but still very high.

After years the trunks of the Banyan tree are so unique in layer after layer of roots.

While on the ship, the jewelry store had a similar setup where you could choose an oyster - they would open the oyster then you would get the pearl inside - this cost 15-30 dollars. Cal participated in a "guess the number" of stones in a jar - and won a free oyster opening. Virginia Ann chose an oyster and was rewarded with a beautiful silver pearl. Of course, the jewelry shop was ready with a setting and chain, so not exactly "free". Her necklace is beautiful and a great reminder of the trip.

A great shot to end our walk about - surfboards locked for their owners along a path to the beach.
