Breakfast at 8:00AM of yogurt, fruit, honey and granola, Heuvos Benedictinos, omelet, toast and coffee. We
gathered at 9:35AM in the Library for
Morning Prayer.
After prayer we rode bicycles around the property.
Hotel trail signs
We left the bikes and then went on a 2.5-hour horseback ride through the vineyard.
The horseback ride was incredibly fun and a great way to see the vastness of the winery with its rolling hills,
lakes, forest and vines.
We saw some Gauchos chasing wild horses near one of the lakes of the vineyard. After the ride, we purchased our
wine to be shipped back
to the U.S. and we had a leisure afternoon before our final dinner at Vik.
Virginia Ann getting to really ride!!! The next day she felt the fun and had to stay in the
room for a massage.
Virginia Ann and Cal on horseback - Virginia Ann enjoyed this much more than Cal.
The vineyards followed the "good" soil up and around the hills.
Very, very young grapes
The Vik winery with the hotel on the hill in the distance. This picture is across the entrance to the winery
which is a huge water feature not only impressive but serves to naturally cool the wine castes stored below
the water feature.

The hotel sources much of their food on the property. In the orchards were apples, cherries, ... and in between
the
rows were colorful bee homes.

Hotel chickens - the eggs were great each morning.
