Cal attended a photography workshop in Canyon De Chelly 16-20 October. This was
special as it was guided by professional photographer and Navajo, LeRoy DeJolie.
Arizona Highways Photo Workshops decided to end their programs at the end of 2023 so this
would
be his last workshop. Cal had wanted to go to Canyon De Chelly with LeRoy after a workshop in
2018 to
Monument Valley.
Canyon de Chelly is one of the longest continuously inhabited areas in North America. Over
83,000 acres in size there are three major canyons - Canyon de Chelly, Canyon del Muerto, and
Monument Canyon. Ruins in the canyons are from between 350 and 1300 AD.
