In late July 2025, Cal went on an adventure to Alaska to photograph Grizzly Bears. The workshop was led by Action Photo Tours. There were five photographers in the group led by Josh Miller. We stayed at the Alaska Grizzly Safaris on the shore of Lake Iliamna. The tour and bears were great - the lodge was pretty bad - no hot water for starters.

Each day we would fly out on a floatplane to a remote site and photograph bears - mostly eating salmon.
